其次，澳洲绿卡不是永久的，绿卡的有效期是5年，5年内满足在澳洲累计住满两年，才能申请下一个5年；

A.与澳大利亚有商业联系

2.怎么对澳大利亚有利了，可以是：
——创造了给澳洲PR或者citizen的就业机会；
——加强了澳洲与其他国家的联系；
——增加了澳洲商品，技术或者服务的出口；
——引进了新技术到澳大利亚；
——对公司的拥有权以及作为管理层积极参与到了公司的日常运营中。

B．与澳大利亚有文化联系

学者的海外交流、运动员的海外活动、牧师的海外会议、艺术家的海外演出等，对丰富澳洲生活、提高澳洲知名度、提升澳洲形象等有好处。因此可以算作与澳洲有文化联系，从而可以帮签证持有人免除注满两年的居住要求。支持的证据可以是：
——出版物；
——文化协会的会员资格证据；
——发表的文章；
——音乐会等。

C．与澳大利亚有雇佣联系

就是在澳洲境外受雇佣于与澳洲相关的组织或者公司，可以是：
——澳大利亚的组织（例如，一个公司，大学，学院，宗教组织）；
——联邦、州、地区或地方政府组织（包括政府企业或法定权限/机构）；
——澳大利亚国际慈善组织；

D.与澳大利亚有个人联系

一些与澳大利亚的个人联系例子：
——在过去的5年之前，有长期居住在澳大利亚的历史，特别是在小时候就获得澳大利亚绿卡，在澳洲长大的；
——在澳洲境外一直和有澳大利亚国籍的伴侣，孩子或者父母居住；
——在过去的5年内，在澳洲累计居住超过12个月；
