  1. 405签证是一种“准永久居民签证”，不限次数地每四年续签（永久居民为五年）。
  2. 405签证特别为55岁以上人士设计。很多此类人士无论办理商业移民还是技术移民都不可能了。即使有送儿女去澳洲定居后办理父母移民类，也要等10年以上。
  3. 405签证持有者不用在澳洲做生意。很多资金充裕的人士对于去澳洲还要做生意感觉很麻烦，而405签证则只需购买政府债券（现行利息超过7％），第一个4年以后只需25万澳元，非常简明便捷。

那么什么人可以去呢？

顾名思义，就是到了退休年龄想到澳洲养老的人，通常为55岁以上，若是夫妻同时申请，只要主申请人满足条件即可。由于405签证本身是澳洲政府希望吸引有钱人到澳洲，因此资金部分就成为了关键性的因素。申请人可以选择居住在指定地区或非指定地区。目前，除悉尼、纽卡斯尔、卧龙岗、新州中部海岸、墨尔本、布里斯班、黄金海岸、佩斯、堪培拉以外，都是指定地区。但要注意新南威尔士州因为州政府不提供担保所以不能选择。 澳洲父母移民之澳大利亚退休投资移民签证405签证详解

一般情况下，在指定地区居住的申请人，应拥有100万澳元的个人资产，每年净收入为5万澳元以上；而在非指定地区则须拥有150万澳元的个人资产，每年的净收入则为6.5万澳元以上。在这里有两个概念，一个是个人资产，一个是净收入。前者可以是夫妇任何一人所有或两人共有，但必须在递交签证申请之前的两年中都一直拥有这些资产。后者则指的是退休后无须工作既可享有的收入，包括养老金、退休金或者投资回报，只要加起来达到上述数额即可。

需要支付多少费用呢？

申请人资格通过后，需要购买州政府债券，如果居住指定地区，需投资50万澳元；如果居住非制定地区，需投资75万澳元。

四年以后，如果申请人继续申请，则每四年所须购买的债券仅为50万澳元（非指定地区）或25万澳元（指定地区）。目前澳洲政府公布的债券利息为每半年5%左右。该投资毫无风险，并且还有很高的固定回报。

怎么去呢？

405签证的申办，是以购买政府债券的名义，由州政府进行提名担保来进行的。基本程序如下：

  1.  律师免费专业评估资格；
  2. 专业处理文件；
  3.  向州政府递交担保申请；
  4. 获得州政府担保，准备其他文件；
  5. 向移民局递交正式申请并交纳第一期申请费；
  6. 收到档案号；
  7. 收到递交护照及体检通知；
  8. 交纳州政府投资款及第二期申请费；
  9. 获得签证，成功赴澳。
