1985年后出生的澳人，即30岁以下的澳人所享受的福利与父辈大为不同。


婴儿潮时期出生的上一辈澳人可享受较为宽松的退休生活——得到免税的退休金收入，坐拥不断增值的房产；而30岁以下的澳人则要偿还巨额学费债务、难以支付的楼价及被削减的就业机会。

就业竞争越来越厉害，即使拿得学位也不意味着就有好工作，很多企业还趁火打劫，廉价雇请学生做实习。而上周的失业率数据已达6.3%。
据报告显示，32%的2014年毕业的大学生在头四个月都找不到工作；而在找到工作的全职毕业生里头，有15%-30%的人都在想着跳槽。
生产力委员会（Productivity Commission）的最新一份报告显示，目前的薪酬增长是最慢的。
而讽刺的是，财长何基的最近一番言论讲到，如果年轻一代想成功购房，必须先得到一份好工作。
在这种情况下，政府还鼓励人们通过退休金的税收减免来投资房产，无疑是雪上加霜，更加拉阔年轻人与上一辈的距离。

无论处于何种年龄，公平都应被保证。
