全球最佳求学城市排名 墨尔本位列第二
据澳洲网12日报道，国际高等教育调查机构QS近日公布了全球最佳求学城市排名榜(Best Student Cities Index)。其中，澳大利亚墨尔本今年超过伦敦和悉尼成为全球第二佳求学城市，位列法国巴黎之后。
报道称，QS是对全球50座大型城市的18项指标调查研究后得出上述结论的。墨尔本以拥有8所知名大学及众多高等院校而位列全球最佳求学城市第二位。
据悉，此次评选的重要指标包括城市中是否拥有知名高等院校及其数量；城市生活质量；潜在就业机会；城市宜居程度以及是否拥有生机勃勃的学生社团等。巴黎连续三年蝉联冠军；墨尔本今年超过伦敦跻身第二位；而悉尼今年屈居第四位。
墨尔本大学常务副校长艾略特称，墨尔本今年位列巴黎之后无需感到惭愧。她指出：“墨尔本被认为是世界上文化最多元的城市之一，城市以热情和包容著称，再加上美食、运动、便利的基础设施以及绝佳的安全性为城市增色不少。这从我们的大学校园里便可以观察到，墨尔本校园里分布着来自全世界120多个国家和地区的留学生。”
墨尔本皇家理工学院教导主任休教授休斯称，墨尔本长久以来一直被认为是世界上最具活力的学生城市之一。“墨尔本为学生们营造了无与伦比的城市生活，这里是澳洲文化的中心地带。”
他接着说：“墨尔本的咖啡馆、音乐厅、餐厅、每一条街道以及便利的公交系统都是绝佳的体验，这能让学生们感受到世界一流的工作和社交体验，对那些喜欢体验澳大利亚文化的留学生而言是一个绝对的诱惑。在此，我们只想跟海外学生们说，快来墨尔本感受多元文化吧。”
墨尔本市长道尔称，墨尔本此次不俗的表现在他意料之中。“我们果然超越许多知名城市获此殊荣，这是因为我们拥有非凡的实力。”
据一份2014年的调查数据显示，在墨尔本的各大高等院校内拥有7.7万名澳大利亚学子和3.2万名国际学生。其中来自亚洲国家的国际学生仍是维持留学生数量的主力。
另据了解，排名前十位的最佳求学城市分别为巴黎、墨尔本、伦敦、悉尼、香港、波士顿、东京、蒙特利尔、多伦多和首尔。
